Major/Strategic Account Manager (Multiple US Locations)

Job Description and Responsibilities:

You will be responsible for generating Storage and Memory Sales revenue from an assigned account base in your general territory. Develop account relationships at all levels between Virtium and the customer’s engineers, procurement management, and executive management.  Assume the strategic planning role for all supported customers, and coordinate with Virtium sales and marketing management to develop a strategy for account penetration, opening new accounts, and consistently driving new business growth in the territory or assigned account base.

Your essential duties and responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

  • Successfully identifying and/or developing a minimum of 5 new strategic accounts
  • Further developing relationships in existing Virtium accounts, and capturing more share of SAM in these accounts
  • Initiating, qualifying, penetrating, managing, and growing new customers’ revenue from a raw lead to multi-million dollar per year account
  • Travelling 40% of the time to develop, open new accounts, and manage accounts
  • Finding new opportunities by networking, working with Virtium Marketing, Manufacturers’ Representatives, Distributors, and following-up on Internet leads
  • Obtain customers’ technical product requirements and engage support teams to facilitate initial penetration to successful account development
  • Work with local representatives and distribution partners as necessary to identify opportunities requiring direct Virtium involvement, and to best manage the design-win and fulfillment process
  • Continually build new relationships deeper within the accounts, obtain referrals to divisions, outside partners to grow business inside and outside
  • Perform quarterly review at customer site, manage, report account performance on a regular basis
  • Keep Virtium Executive, Sales, Marketing and Engineering management regularly apprised of account progress and of all issues requiring support
  • Create and maintain a New Account Development Plan using the Virtium format; update and discuss weekly with VP of WW Sales
  • Manage to the highest level of customer satisfaction at all times

Skills and Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree min
  • 2-3 years of related semiconductor sales experience
  • Knowledge of Excel, PPT, & Word
  • Ability to prioritize and plan time accordingly
  • High level of integrity and professionalism
