Meet Virtium’s Board of Directors.

Phu Hoang

Phu Hoang is the CEO and Founder of Virtium. Phu’s management and entrepreneurial background comes from seven years with Vistage International, a leading CEO training organization.  He earned his MBA from Northern Illinois University and has a B.S. in Computer Engineering from the University of Waterloo, Canada. He also currently holds two U.S. patents. In 2008 and 2014, Phu won the EY Entrepreneur of the Year award in Orange County, California. In addition, in 2013, Phu was selected as a winner of the Orange County Business Journal’s Excellence in Entrepreneurship Awards.  Phu is also the founder of Savice, a non-profit education foundation established to enable better futures for underprivileged children through educational assistance in rural Vietnam.

 

 

Joseph Silvestri

Mr. Silvestri has been a member of the Court Square Investment Team since 1990. He received his B.S. from Pennsylvania State University and his M.B.A. from Columbia Business School. He is a director of Auto Europe Group, Getaroom, Kodiak Building Partners, PlayCore, Terra Millennium, and Triumph Group.

He previously served on the boards of Cadence Aerospace, ERICO, Euramax International, International Media Group, ISG Resources, MacDermid, Newmarket, Pike Corporation, Polyfibron Technologies, Southern Graphics, and Worldspan Technologies.

Chinh Nguyen

Chinh Nguyen directs day-to-day operations as well as the overall technology advancements and supply chain needed to keep Virtium building the best storage and memory innovations, on budget and on time.

Chinh’s background includes five years with Vistage International, a leading CEO training organization.  Chinh earned his B.S. in Electrical Engineering from California State Polytechnic University, Pomona and is an inventor – holding several U.S. patents.  Chinh is also an active member of the industry standards group JEDEC and contributes leadership and expertise in developing new embedded industry standards and form factors.

As director of Savice, a non-profit education foundation, Chinh is devoted to helping underprivileged children improve their lives with greater access to educational resources in rural Vietnam

Steve Litchfield

Prior to his present position at MaxLinear, Litchfield was executive vice president and chief strategy officer of Microsemi Corp. He previously served as vice president of the Microsemi’s Analog and Mixed Signal Group. Prior to this position, he served as the vice president of corporate marketing and business development and was a member of the company’s Board of Directors. His previous experience included being an equity research analyst at Banc of America Securities and a production engineer at Toyota Motor Corp. He holds a B.S. degree in Industrial Engineering from Purdue University and an MBA from the University of Southern California Marshall School of Business.

Christopher Bloise

Mr. Bloise joined Court Square in 2003. Previously, he was the Director of Finance of Focalex, a technology firm focused on online marketing. Prior to Focalex, Mr. Bloise worked in technology investment banking at Credit Suisse First Boston.

Mr. Bloise received his B.S., summa cum laude, from Washington University and his MBA from the MIT Sloan School of Management. Mr. Bloise serves on the boards of AHEAD, Conterra Ultra Broadband, Data Blue, Encompass Digital Media, Momentum Telecom, Smart City, and System1. He previously served on the boards of Fibertech Networks, IWCO Direct, Mosaic Sales Solutions, nTelos, and SPS.

Shane McGregor

Mr. McGregor joined Court Square in 2016. Prior to that, he worked at JMI Equity, where he invested in software and technology-enabled services companies. Previously, he held roles with Francisco Partners, Orion Health, and Pioneer Capital. Mr. McGregor received law and commerce degrees from the University of Auckland and is a CFA Charterholder.
