Our Goal
Virtium is a vital part of the industrial embedded community and continues to actively build its Alliances and Associations.
Alliances
Associations
Virtium is a member of several leading industry-standards groups. The company’s goal is to contribute to open-source projects and other industry efforts to help continually evolve solid-state storage and memory standards.

Alliances

Intel IoT Solutions Alliance
Virtium is a member of the Intel IoT Solutions Alliance and collaborates with Intel and other partners with the goal of delivering integrated computing solutions for Industry 4.0 and Industrial IoT (IIoT) applications.
Alliance members are industry leaders who deliver first-in-market IoT solutions. Members’ 6000 solutions, from components and software to systems and services, fulfill nearly every IoT requirement in a range of markets.
Virtium prequalified its StorFly® M.2 SATA industrial-grade SSDs, DDR4 memory modules and StorKit® SSD software for Intel Xeon and CORE platforms to help members realize the promise of Industry 4.0 and IIoT.

Intel Network Builders Program
Virtium is also a member of the Intel Network Builder program for collaboration among Intel and its partners in order to deliver complete integrated networking solutions. The program was created to empower ecosystem partners to accelerate their networking products’ development.
Partners can directly reach out for support and guidance on acceleration technologies that deliver system improvements in a range of areas, including efficiency, performance, automation, security, and resource management.
Virtium offers solid-state storage solutions — SSDs, memory and SSD software – address the performance requirements of advanced networking solutions. Virtium solutions are integrated into Intel Xeon-based platforms at the heart of advanced network.

SolidRun
Virtium partner SolidRun is a leading provider of computing and network technology, based on ARM and x86 processor architectures. These technologies are designed to streamline the deployment of edge computing infrastructure and to support embedded and IoT markets, which gives rise to the vast adoption of AI and 5G.
SolidRun and Virtium are working together to enable designers to quickly integrate SolidRun’s network-computing platforms with Virtium StorFly M.2 SATA industrial-grade SSDs, DDR4 memory modules, and StorKit SSD software. This partnership and is serves to usher in the next generation of edge-computing and AI applications that emphasize speed, connectivity, efficiency and data security across 5G networks.

Vapor IO Kinetic Edge Alliance
As a member of the Kinetic Edge Alliance, Virtium works with Vapor IO and its partners to deliver complete integrated networking edge solutions. The Alliance focuses on forming an infrastructure architecture that uses software and high-speed connectivity to combine three or more geographically dispersed micro data centers that ring a metro area into a single logical data center.
Virtium’s contribution to the Alliance is to provide solutions that meet this architectures solid-state storage requirements, including StorFly M.2 SATA industrial-grade SSDs, DDR4 memory modules and its StorKit software

Wind River
Virtium partners with Wind River to deliver complete integrated IIoT and networking edge solutions. A global leader in delivering software for edge computing and Industrial IoT, Wind River develops software and operating systems that power the safest, most secure devices in the world and is found in more than two-billion products.
Wind River offers a comprehensive portfolio, supported by world-class global professional services and support and a broad partner ecosystem.
Virtium solid-state storage solutions – SSDs, SSD software and memory modules – are prequalified for the edge-computing and IIoT platforms using Wind River’s operating systems, delivering performance and security to IIoT and edge-computing environments.
Associations

Compact Flash Association
The CompactFlash Association (CFA), which developed and manages the specification for CFexpress used widely in industrial-embedded storage, was established in 1995 and focuses on creating standards for flash-based memory cards used in consumer and professional applications.

IEEE Industrial Standards and Technology Organization
The IEEE Industry Standards and Technology Organization was established in January 1999 as a federation of member alliance programs with the aim of supporting accelerated technology standards development and market adoption for industry.

Peripheral Component Interconnect Special Interest Group
PCI-SIG, or Peripheral Component Interconnect Special Interest Group, is an electronics industry consortium responsible for specifying the Peripheral Component Interconnect (PCI), PCI-X, and PCI Express (PCIe) computer buses.

NVMe Express
NVM Express (NVMe) is an open collection of standards and information to fully expose the benefits of non-volatile memory in all types of computing environments from mobile to data center. The consortium is responsible for the development of and updates to the NVMe specification.

SD Association
The SD Association is a global ecosystem of companies setting standards for memory products, including Secure Digital Cards, or SDs, that simplify the use and extend the life of electronic devices.

USB Implementers Forum
USB Implementers Forum (USB-IF) is a non-profit corporation founded to develop the Universal Serial Bus specification. The USB-IF supports the advancement and adoption of Universal Serial Bus technology, including SuperSpeed USB widely deployed in industrial-embedded applications.
