Extended Temperature Memory Modules
Virtium provides several different product or screening options to customers that require extended temperature products that can be applied to various form factors for applications.
Industrial Temperature Modules: our memory modules use industrial temperature components and are reasonably priced.
Extended high Temperature Screened Modules: offer an alternative to industrial temperature components that may not be readily available or available at a reasonable price point. Virtium will screen modules at the following case temperature ranges:
- -40° C to 95° C
- -25° C to 95° C
- 0° C to 95° C
Virtium works with customers to define the test parameters, test equipment and testing time needed for all extended temperature screening ranges. Once a joint definition is established after validation based on the customers application environment, 100% of the product produced at Virtium will be tested according to this defined plan.
Extended temperature products are also production tested on Temptronic Thermalstream Units using our customers motherboard, or an approved motherboard that has an identical chipset and setup, and the test is performed with a memory diagnostic program at true speeds. Working closely with OEMs, Virtium also has industrial temperature ovens that we specifically developed to match the size of our customers motherboards that allow us to test products at 95 degrees C operating at true speed.
Making this combination of options available, Virtium has successfully assisted many customers in solving their procurement challenges for industrial temperature modules. In many cases, Virtium has made it easier to meet extended temperature requirements, where before customers were challenged by either unavailable or cost-prohibitive memory module solutions. Virtium’s extended temperature modules are available in MiniDIMM, RDIMM, SORDIMM and Low Profile DIMM Form Factors.
