Case Study

A global leader in embedded computer technology and mobile rugged solutions supplies a diversified customer base of OEMs, system integrators and application providers. They required a 2GB DDR1 SODIMM with ECC to fit into the same physical space as a standard JEDEC non-ECC SODIMM.

While other memory vendors recommended more costly memory using 1Gbit DRAM devices, Virtium took a more creative effective approach. Using less expensive 512Mbit stacked chips, Virtium produced a module that was just 1.25 inches high, fulfilling the customer's original objective.
