Environmental Commitment 
Conservation of natural resources is a vital concern to all.  Virtium has made it an important commitment by instituting company-wide initiatives that enable the development of energy-efficient solutions.  The steps Virtium has taken help preserve the environment while providing cost savings to our customers. We believe we have a responsibility to minimize our environmental impact – and that of our customers – to benefit current and future generations.

RoHS Compliance:
Virtium manufactures halogen-free and lead-free memory module and solid state storage products in compliance with the European Union’s Restriction of Hazardous Substances in Electrical and Electronic Equipment (RoHS) directive, which bans the use of cadmium, mercury, hexavalent chromium, polybrominated biphenyl (PBB) and polybrominated diphenyl ether (PBDE) flame retardants.

Reduced Power Consumption:
By combining DDR3 with strategic DRAM configurations, Virtium’s memory modules achieve lower power consumption – up to 60 percent less power consumption than previously available memory solutions. For example, while a memory module with a x8 DRAM configuration contains the same number of chips as a module with a x4 configuration, the x8 configuration consumes less power based on Virtium’s innovative, power-optimized technologies.
